From 2D to real life... these finger bones are made of clay. The ring is steel (with a 7 to 8 inch diameter) and stolen from another project for the time being. I am trying to figure out the best way to encapsulate the bones within a finger. I am hoping that smooth-on has a foam substance that I can cast around the bones and then carve to the shape I want. Any and all material suggestions are welcome. Feel free to leave any constructive comments.

Are you familiar with Dario Robleto's work? He is a wizard with material. I think he's using crushed bone to build bones too. Check him out.

Thanks for the info... I just checked him out, but didn't find any bones of bones. To bad. The mixed tape was kinda cool, but so much of the content seems to rely on the materials/ objects that are used/ remade. I wonder where he gets all that bone dust?
